I went to the hairdressers this morning. Then I just did some of the stairs and not much else.
I jarred up one jar of pickled red cabbage. I eat this all through the year, not just at Christmas so I do a jar fairly regularly. It needs to be eaten fresh so no point in doing more than one jar.
After The Bidding Room and Pointless and Aljazeera News for a while I will carry on watching Fauda which I watch everynight on Netflix and then Masterchef, if it is on.
I have booked to go to the Tate Modern after reading about what sounds like a very interesting exhibition today. It is the Dada artist Sophie Taeubar-Arp, Swiss, born in Davos in 1889. A not very well known artist but one not to be missed I am sure. She produced a wide variety of work in the Dada style, including textiles, puppets, paintings, beaded bags and even full scale interiors of rooms. The sort of work that gets called "applied art". I feel just in the mood for this at the moment.
Applied art is generally not highly regarded by gallery goers who still like to stick to paintings and sculpture as the only real art. And true to this view, when booking I had the pick of the days and times to visit. I am expecting to find the rooms at the Tate quite empty. I will report back.
I am having plaice for tea which I bought for myself the other day from Waitrose and can be heated up in the oven and is nice with chips and bread and butter.
Yum yum.
