Many thanks to my lovely blogger friends for contributing to our Spring poem. Not sure its quite in the same league as William Wordsworth but I'm sure it will make you smile!
Spring, Spring, whatever you bring, may it be beautiful, fruitful, filled with happy and joy!
Fresh green leaves, unfurled in the bright, spring light,
Spring, spring, bring us the sun, grow us some flowers, sprinkle it with dew, like a shiny new toy.
Spring, Spring, gentle Spring, flowers bloom and songbirds sing.
Colourful celandines glint under the hedgerows, good cheer they bring.
Spring, Spring surprisingly full, help us remember who makes all things new.
Spring, Spring so full of joy, and lovely flowers sprinkled with dew.
Bird song early morning, just as the day is dawning, the sun's warmth after noon,
Oh, let it be here soon.
Pale greens sprouting, shy snowdrops smiling. The light is here, warm the sun, all this is so much fun!
Happiness exploding to ecstatic feeling,
The Spring has come!
Wishing everyone a good Easter break.
