Whiz Khalifa is still the number 1 selling rapper in the country and his Rolling Papers album sold 34,000 copies this week, which brings the total to 328,000 copies so far.
DJ Quick, the West Coats rap legend/producer recently dropped a new album, and he is on the charts this week. His "The Book of David" album sold 9,800 copies after a week in stores.
Cam'ron and his new protege, Vado are on the charts this week with their new collabo album. Gunz N' Butter sold just 7,800 copies this week. I guess gangstar rap is really dead.
T.I's No Mercy sold 3,500 copies this week, which brings his total to 499,000 copies sold. He is just a thousand copies from going GOLD; but at his peak, he sold this off in the first week. I think two things have affected his sales; 1, he is no longer as focused as he once was, because of all the jail sentences he has been experiencing; and 2, gangstar rap is not selling as it used to. If you check his songs now, even from his Paper Trail (2008) album, he had been making the switch to make more poppish songs. I wish him all the best, because he was a promising star at some point.
That's it for this week; no big debuts.
