SOUTH AFRICA: WORLD'S FIRST PENIS RECIPIENT SOON TO BECOME A FATHER

The surgeon who performed the world's first penile transplant, Dr. Andre Van Der Merwe has told BBC, that the South African recipient is soon to become a father.
Dr. Andre said the recipient's girlfriend reported she was about 4 months pregnant which shows the transplant worked.
The 21 year old's identity, who lost his penis during a botched circumcision is being protected.
Surgeons at Stellenbosch University and Tygerberg Hospital in South Africa had performed a nine hour operation to attach a donated penis in December.
