Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer Falloween 2019 Collection Swatches and Reviews

*press samples*

Hi guys! I just got back from Dallas where it was the same temperature and less humid than NC. I can't believe it's still 93 degrees here and it's almost October. I'm happy to report this is the last work travel for the year and I'm good with that. Tonight I have a brand I've never reviewed before, Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer. I have the 5-piece Falloween Collection to share with you tonight, and it features shimmers and multichrome shades which are some of my favorites. They are now available as a pre-order until September 9/30 at 11:59 PST.  They retail for $11.50 each, or as a discounted set for $55 which will save you a few bucks. Like most of my posts lately, it is quite picture-heavy, so should we get to some swatches?

Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer Creepin' It Real (2 coats)

Up first is Creepin' It Real which is a deep teal creme base with strong copper shimmer. This one was very opaque and fully covered in 2 thin coats. It dried quickly and with no texture at all.

Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer Ghoul's Night Out (2 coats)

Ghoul's Night Out (LOVE the name) is described as a candy apple red with multichrome pigment that shifts from gold/orange/pink/purple. To my eye it has some pink to it, but it could be from the shimmer making it appear that way. It dried slightly dull, so make sure to use a shiny topcoat. This was another pigmented shade that only needed 2 coats.

Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer Here for the Boos (3 coats)

Ah yes, of course Here for the Boos is a top pick from the collection. I just had to show that bottle shot to see that purple shift. It's a deep indigo base with multichrome pigment that shifts from red/green/blue/purple. The green/blue/purple combo is what stands out the most, with the red only at extreme angles. I used three thin coats for photos, but you may be able to get away with 2 if you use thick coats or have short nails. It still dried quickly and with no texture.

Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer Spooktacular (3 coats)

Yet another beautiful multichrome from Connie! Spooktacular is a purple-based multichrome that shifts from blue/purple/red with blue/purple/red shifting flecks. These flecks are what make it appear to have more texture, but it still dries flat in 3 thin coats. Again, you may be able to get away with 2 depending on your application style. I always tend to do thin coats, so YMMV.

Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer Witchful Thinking (2 coats)

Last, but certainly not least is Witchful Thinking which is a darkened sage green creme base with gold and turquoise shimmer. I love my shimmers and green polishes, so this is another top pick. This one screams fall to me, and even though it's still hot here, I rocked this one for a few days to channel my inner fall. It's another 2-coater that dried quickly and with no texture. None of these have glitter, so you will have no issue with removal (yay!).

What a lovely set from Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer! You may have notice that I failed to mention how these applied, and that's because they were all perfect. I've been using a lot of glitters lately which need a slightly thicker base to keep the glitter suspended, so it was a nice change to use some thinner polishes (in a good way). My top picks are Here for the Boos, Spooktacular, and Witchful Thinking, but you can't go wrong with any of these. These are available now, so make sure to pick up the set. You can find out more about Seventy Seven Nail Lacquer on their website, Facebook page, Facebook Fan Group, or Instagram pages. Have a great week!
